The following is a list of events and general news for the months.  For minor details such as dates, times, and event confirmation, please check our calendar.  All events are free unless otherwise stated; however, we kindly ask that you RSVP as seating is often limited.

Dr. Marcy Tanter is our next guest for the Penny For Your Thoughts (TM) lecture series.  She will be speaking on Emily Dickinson in celebration of Women's History Month.   As always, this event is free, but seating is limited, so please RSVP.

Ah...Valentine's Day.  Treat yourself or your favorite bibliophile to a gift that won't go straight to the hips, wilt in a week, require reservations and a babysitter, or need a plumber to extract from the pea trap when it falls into the sink (says the voice of experience).  Whether you choose a gift certificate or would like us to help you pick the perfect title, we invite you to our store to share the love of books.

Dr. Joe Christopher will be kicking off our 2007 Penny for Your Thoughts (TM) lecture series.  Joe will be speaking on author/editor Anthony Boucher. 

Come by the store for a warm cup of tea, or coffee, or cider (whatever we happen to have brewed that day), and take a respite from your hectic holiday preparations.  Our Christmas village and train set is out again for the young at heart to enjoy, and there are several other surprises throughout the store guaranteed to make your heart grow three sizes (if you're a Grinch, that is).

National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo (pronounced na-no-wry-mo) for short, is November, and we're hosting Stephenville's participants. I've placed the official link on the newsletter, so if you're interested in becoming part of this insane writing phenomenon, go for it.
